Synopsis

Nahara’s Journey is a single-player educational game that highlights how climate change affects life in the Arctic areas. The game was made in Unity in two months as a product of one of the university’s assignments which asked us to make a game in a single space, without violence, highlighting something important to us personally.

The game is set in an environment similar to the Canadian Arctic. The playable character is a female Arctic wolf called Nahara. The narrator, in this case, words displayed on the screen, is the guidance system throughout the entire game. The story follows Nahara’s journey back to her pack, but heavily emphasises and informs about the effects of climate change and human presence in the Arctic areas. The purpose of this game is to highlight the importance of facts revolving around climate change and to inform the players about the environmental changes that are happening in the world today.

Gameplay
